Abstract
Novel 5-thiazole alkanols of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, n is an integer from 2 to 7 and R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and acyl of an alkanoic acid of 2 to 6 carbon atoms and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having a marked antilipolytic activity and useful as intermediates and their preparation.
