Abstract
A process for fabricating cathode ray tubes having an envelope which contains an electron gun assembly and unwanted water vapor includes the steps of loading the cathode ray tube onto an exhaust machine, heating the cathode ray tube to an internal temperature greater than the condensation temperature of the water vapor during evacuation, and evacuating the water vapor from the envelope.
