4-Chromanone derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents alkyl of 1 through 6 carbon atoms or alkoxyalkyl of 2 through 6 carbon atoms, are new compounds possessing pharmacological properties and are useful inter alia as vasodilators.
