Abstract
A cathodic active material is described utilizing the periodates of heavy metals and preferably of silver. These materials are particularly suitable for use as positive electrodes in nonaqueous electrolyte cells and such electrodes and the cells are described. A method for fabrication of the active material into cathodes is included.
