Abstract

Ergoline carbamates are disclosed, which have proven to be effective spasmolytic and vasodilatory drugs. They are derivatives of D-6-methyl-8.beta.-(methanol)-9,10-didehydroergoline (also called lysergol). Three convenient methods for their preparation are also disclosed. The toxicity of these compounds is extremely low.
