Abstract

This application covers compounds of the formula: ##STR1## where R is hydrogen or alkanol, R.sub.1 is alkanol and R.sub.2 is octadienyl or decadienyl; ##STR2## where R.sub.3 is alkyl and R.sub.4 is alkylene; and ##STR3## where R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are selected from the group consisting of (a) alkanol; (b) --R.sub.4 -- O -- R.sub.2 ; (c) (--CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O--).sub.x R.sub.2 ; and ##STR4## where R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 are as defined above, x has an average value of 1-50, and the group (b), (c) or (d) occurs in at least one occurrence of R.sub.5 R.sub.6 or R.sub.7. Also covers a method of preparing the above compounds by reacting the precursor amino alcohols with a C.sub.4 or C.sub.5 diene compound in presence of a palladium catalyst.
