Abstract
The present invention concerns as new industrial products, hydroxy-thioalkanes of the formula: Ti Ho--A--S--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --S--A--OH where n is an integer from 5 to 15 and A is a straight or branched C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 hydrocarbon chain which may also comprise an OH group. The compounds of formula I are useful in therapeutics, notably as hypolipemiant and hypocholesterolemiant agents.
