Abstract

The present invention relates to glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic polycarbonate molding compositions whose toughness and elastic properties have been improved by the incorporation of 1 to 5 wt.% of poly-(2,6-dialkyl-1,4-phenyleneoxide). These compositions contain between 10 and 30 wt.% glass fibers and display improved properties even after extended times at high humidity. The polyphenylene oxides preferably have M.sub.w between 2,000 and 100,000, most preferably 20,000 and 60,000. A particularly suitable additive is poly-(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide).
