Abstract

Compositions and methods for combating insect pests or fungal pests of plants wherein the active component is a diphenylamine derivative of the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN EITHER (A) Q represents a cyano or trifluoromethyl group, and X represents a halogen atom, m is an integer from zero to three, n is zero or one, p is an integer from zero to two, and q is an integer from zero to three, the sum of m, n, p and q being an integer from two to five; or (b) Q represents a nitro group and X represents a halogen atom, m is an integer from zero to three, n is zero or one, p is an integer from zero to two, and q is an integer from zero to three, the sum of n and p being an integer from one to three, and the sum of m, n, p and q being an integer from two to five.
