Abstract

A novel derivative of ecgonine is described. This compound, 4-hyroxy-benzoyl ecgonine, is useful as a substrate for iodination with a radioactive isotope of iodine such as .sup.125 I. The resulting radiolabeled compound is useful in a radioimmunoassay for benzoyl ecgonine.
