Abstract
A softening agent for woven fabrics consisting essentially of 3 to 20 weight % of a quaternary ammonium salt having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are a long chain alkyl group or long chain .beta.-hydroxyalkyl group, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are alkyl group, hydroxyalkyl group, benzyl group or a group --(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.n H, X is a halogen or a monoalkyl sulfuric acid group, 0.2 to 5% of a polyoxyethyleneoleyl ether having an ethylene oxide average addition mole number of 8 to 200, 0.5 to 10% of urea, and 0.08 to 2% of a water-soluble ammonium salt.
