Abstract
Alkyl 7-deoxy-7-.omega.-substituted alkylthio-.alpha.-thiolincos-aminides useful as intermediates for preparing anti-bacterially active 7-deoxy-7-.omega.-substituted alkylthiolincomycins are prepared by heating alkyl N-acyl-6,7-aziridino-6-deamino-7-deoxy-.alpha.-thiolincosaminides with an appropriate thiol in the presence of an anhydrous lower hydrocarbon carboxylic acid.
