Abstract

A hair lacquer or hair setting lotion composition comprises in a cosmetic carrier or vehicle at least one bi- or tri-sequenced copolymer comprising at least one sequence (A) having the formula ##STR1## wherein Y is a saturated hydrocarbon chain containing 2-4 carbon atoms or a hydrocarbon chain containing 2-4 carbon atoms and interrupted by sulfur or oxygen, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are alkyl containing 1-4 carbon atoms, n is 0 or 1 and HX is hydrochloric, hydrobromic, lactic or acetic acid, and at least one sequence (B) resulting from the anionic polymerization of a polymerizable monomer.
