Abstract

Disclosed are polyethers of the general formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, when these are bonded to each other, may be polymethylene groups that form a heteroring with the nitrogen atom, R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, m is an integer from 1 to 20, n is 0 or 1, p is an integer from 5 to 1000 and Ar is at least one member selected from the group consisting of divalent aromatic residues of the following formulas: ##STR2## IN FORMULA (1), Y is an alkylene group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkylidene group of 3 to 15 carbon atoms, --O--, --SO.sub.2 --, --S-- or >C=O.
