Abstract

Dry soil resistance and nonflame propagating characteristics are insured in textile fibers by applying thereto an aqueous dispersion containing a perfluoroalkyl ester of a carboxylic acid of from 3 to 30 carbon atoms. After the dispersion is applied, the fibers are dried at between 120.degree. to 170.degree. C.
