Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of azo compounds by reacting a nitrosated heterocyclic primary amine with, as a coupling component, an aminobenzene which is substituted in the amino group thereof by lower alkyl or lower cyanoalkyl, in the presence of a weakly acid medium and at a temperature of from room temperature to about 100.degree. C.
