Abstract

Antimicrobial compositions and uses employing benzo-1,2,4-triazines-1,4-di-N-oxides substituted in the 3-position with a substituted amino group and optionally substituted in the benzo ring are described. The compounds utilized, of which 3-(N-acetoacetylamino)benzo-1,2,4-triazine-1,4-di-N-oxide is a typical embodiment, are prepared from the corresponding 2-aminobenzo-1,2,4-triazine-1,4-di-N-oxide through alkylation or acylation.
