Abstract
Normally flammable fabrics, such as fabrics composed of polypropylene and polyamides such as polycaproamides, poly(m-phenyleneisophthalamides) and the like which have been rendered flame proof by the intimate association therewith of a flame proofing amount of a phosphoric acid are reacted in situ with an epoxy compound. The resultant compositions can be washed in water without substantial loss of flame proof character.
