Abstract
Salts of N,N'-bis(p-cyanophenyl)-4,4'-bipyridylium are prepared by contacting an N,N'-bis(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-4,4'-bipyridylium salt with p-cyano-aniline in an inert polar medium.
