Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the production of allyl or methallyl phosphonic acid dialkyl esters by reacting allyl chloride or methallyl chloride with trialkyl phosphites at temperatures of from 80.degree. to 160.degree. C in the presence of a compound of avalent and/or monovalent nickel or in the presence of a compound of avalent, monovalent or divalent cobalt.
