Abstract

Isoxazole derivatives represented by the formula: ##STR1## are prepared; wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each is hydrogen atom, alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or cycloalkyl group of 3 to 10 carbon atoms; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each is hydrogen atom, alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl group of 3 to 10 carbon atoms, or phenyl group; or the group Is morpholino group; and Y is oxo group, thioxo group or imino group; being useful as a hypoglycemic and/or a blood free-fatty-acid normalizing antidiabetic agent.
