Abstract

Polyester salts of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is an alkali metal, hydrogen or a combination of the two; R is methyl or hydrogen and m has a value from about 3 to about 30. These novel linear polyester salts find utility as absorbable matrix materials for depot drug dosage forms.
