Abstract
Oxidation and reduction reactions using metal oxyhalide catalysts of the general formula ABO.sub.3.sub.-f X.sub.f having perovskite-type crystal structures in which A and B are each cations of at least one metal and a portion of the type B cations are catalytically active; X is fluoride or chloride; and f is about from 0.01 to 2.5.
