Abstract
The pipe bending machine of the present invention is adapted for mandrelless pipe bending with the simultaneous compressing of the pipe being bent to avoid thinning of the walls thereof. The invention can be used to best advantage when applied to bending large-diameter (1000 mm and over) steel pipes. The machine features the bending mechanism and the longitudinal travelling mechanism so interconnected by means of the members and disks that a braking moment is applied to the bending mechanism and, consequently, pipe upsetting occurs.
