A method is disclosed for combating influenza utilizing aminospiranes of the formula: ##STR1## wherein Y is one or two, X is one or two, n is zero to three inclusive, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen and lower alkyl, and R.sup.3 is hydrogen or methyl.
