Abstract

Polymeric materials are disclosed which comprise a hydroxyalkyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, a monoethylenically .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid, and an alkyl ester or esters of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid are partially neutralized, isolated, and powdered to give useful powder coating compositions. The compositions are particularly adapted to provide coatings on metals, a method for accomplishing this being disclosed.
