Abstract

A method is provided for making polyetherimides involving the reaction of aromatic bis(etheranhydride)s and organic diamines in the presence of an inert nonpolar organic solvent at temperatures of at least 130.degree. C. The polyetherimides are useful as injection molding compounds.
