Abstract

This invention relates to thieno-pyridine derivatives which may be represented by either one of the following formulae: ##SPC1## In which R is hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1-6 carbon atoms, and their acid addition salts with inorganic or organic acids. Said derivatives have anti-inflammatory, antalgic and blood-platelet aggregation-inhibiting activity in mice and rats. In addition, they may also be used as intermediates in the synthesis of a large number of derivatives used both in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
