Abstract
Thermally stabilized compositions of halogen-containing resins may be obtained by addition to the resin of a stabilizing agent of N.sup..omega.-higher alkyl or higher aliphatic acyl basic amino acid chelates of divalent metals or a mixture of or precursory ingredients thereof which is capable of forming N.sup..omega.-higher alkyl or higher aliphatic acyl-basic amino acid chelates when heated at the usual processing temperature of the halogen-containing resin.
