Abstract

Aerosol packages using carbon dioxide gas as the propellant can be manufactured on present commercial undercap filling machines by a method using a solvent for the liquid fill composed essentially of ethanol, restricting the liquid fill to 35 to 65% of the container volume, and charging the container with high pressure CO.sub.2 gas (e.g., 500 to 800 psig) while limiting the lift of the cap unit to not over 0.23 inches, or less.
