Novel 6,11-dihydrodibenzo(b,e)thiepines of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein A is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and acyl of an alkanoic acid of 2 to 19 carbon atoms in the form of their optically active isomers or racemic mixtures thereof and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having remarkable anticholinergic properties.
