Abstract

1,3,5-Triazinediones of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein X.sub.1, X.sub. 2, R.sub.1, R.sub. 2 and R.sub.3 are as hereinafter defined, are useful for the selective control of weeds in crops, e.g., corn. Many are also useful for altering plant flowering and plant sexual reproduction. Exemplary of the class of compounds are 3-isopropyl-6-methylthio-s-triazine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione, 3-(p-chlorophenyl)-6-methoxy-s-triazine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione.
