Abstract
A one-piece stud and method of making a stud for a snowmobile track comprising a hub mounting a plurality of perimetrically spaced, radially outwardly flaring, ground engaging teeth. The stud is made in a series of steps including bending a portion of a star-shaped blank out of the plane of the blank to form curvilinear teeth and then bending part of the previously bent portion in an opposite direction to form a mounting hub.
