Abstract

Cyanocarboxylate polymers and copolymers are prepared by reacting a polymer or copolymer of conjugated diolefin with a cyanocarboxylate compound of the formula: ##EQU1## where R and R' are hydrogen atoms or alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or acyl groups of 1-12 carbon atoms, or R is a COOR' group or halogen. The resulting polymers or copolymers are useful as finishing agents or additives for unsaturated elastomers.
