Abstract

The present invention provides a textured air jet interlaced yarn comprising a plurality of continuous synthetic thermoplastic filaments, the yarn being characterized by repeating sections of about 1/8-1 inch in length, each section being composed of a relatively open portion of bulky and lofty false twisted multifilaments and a relatively short node portion where the multifilaments are brought closer together and are interlaced and encircled. The disclosure also relates to a fabric made from the aforementioned yarn.
