Compounds of the formula: ##SPC1## Wherein X is --H, --OH, or --O.; R is --H or --OH; and Q is --C.tbd.N or ##EQU1## where R' is alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms or hydrogen are useful for stabilizing polymers against degradation by ultraviolet radiation.
