Abstract

This invention relates to an improvement in consolidating and curing a binder-impregnated fibrous mat to form a consolidated fibersheet or fiberboard comprising hot pressing the mat at a temperature and for a time sufficient to initiate but not to complete cure of the binder, followed by immediately subjecting the mat to post curing at a temperature up to about 350.degree.F. for a time sufficient to complete binder cure and mat consolidation.
