Abstract

Asphalt having a high adhesion strength is prepared by incorporating in asphalt a small amount of monocarboxylic chromic chloride expressed by the following general formula: ##EQU1## WHEREIN R is an alkyl or alkenyl group having 1 to 21 carbon atoms, as an antistripping agent.
