Abstract
A scanning FM monitor receiver is disclosed which is of the superheterodyne type and is capable of scanning and receiving a plurality of channels on a plurality of frequency bands. The receiver incorporates a phase-locked-loop frequency synthesizing means for generating beating signals for use in tuning specific channels and also incorporates processing means for controlling the frequency synthesizing means and the overall receiver operation. The processing means comprises a central processing unit, keyboard and display interface circuitry, general purpose input and output device and memory means. The receiver includes a keyboard and a display for viewing information during the operation of the receiver.
