Abstract
A saturated polycyclic carboxylic acid of the general formula: ##SPC1## Wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8, R.sub.9, and R.sub.10, are each hydrogen or methyl, or its water soluble salt, which is useful as a sizing agent for paper manufacture, is prepared from an unsaturated polycylic nitrile compound of the general formula: ##SPC2##
