Abstract

Novel 5-methyl-10-(.beta.-alkylaminoethyl)dibenzo(b,f) azepines of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein R is lower alkyl, R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl and X and X' are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and halogen and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having a superior thymoanaleptic activity and their preparation and use.
