Abstract

This invention relates to a process for manufacturing granular lead oxides such as granular lead monoxide (litharge) and granular red lead at high purities from lead suboxide without formation of harmful dusts or fumes. Furthermore, the invention concerns novel lead bearing additives for use in ceramic industry, for instance, for formation of lead glasses and ceramic glazes to be employed for the manufacture of various optical glasses, cut glasses, tube lamp glasses, etc., and a process for the manufacture of such lead bearing additives.
