Abstract
A scissors type hinge having crossed pivotably joined hinge arms, one of which is pivotably mounted on a fixing bracket and the other to a guide lever. The guide lever is pivotably mounted on the fixing bracket and spring means urge the hinge away from dead center so as to be fully open or fully closed, thereby achieving a latch effect.
