Abstract
A fastening assembly for coupling a printed circuit board (PCB) to a housing of a portable communication device including a pocket defining a slide axis, an inner surface, and a top surface that is spaced away from the PCB. The fastening assembly further includes a nut disposed within the pocket and interfaced with the inner surface to inhibit rotation of the nut about the slide axis. The fastening assembly further includes a fastener extending through the PCB to threadably engage the nut when rotated relative to the nut. The nut translates along the slide axis when the fastener is rotated until the nut abuts the PCB.
