Abstract
For high-performance 'advanced imaging' applications, a synchronization signal (), which is output by a playback device () or another data sink, such as a server application, is used to synchronize the chronological recording of an image stream () chronologically exactly with the playback of this image stream on the playback device and/or to synchronize the recording with an alternating illumination. Here, the synchronization signal () is used to trigger an image recording frequency of an image sensor () of an image recording system (), by which the image stream is recorded. Furthermore, the synchronization signal can also be used to chronologically trigger a light source () of the image recording system, so that during the recording of the sequence of single images (), an alternating illumination is obtainable, which is also synchronized with the recording of the single images and/or the image playback on the playback device.
