Abstract
Technologies directed to forming and using a wireless mesh network (e.g., compliant with the IEEE 802.11standard in an existing home wireless network for channel state information (CSI) sensing) are described. One method includes receiving a request to create a wireless local area network (WLAN) mesh network between wireless devices of a home wireless network. The method receives, from the devices, information about a home AP device and the other neighboring devices. The method calculates, using the information, a channel score for available channels for the WLAN mesh network. The method sends commands to the devices to form the WLAN mesh network using a channel having a highest channel score. The method receives, from the devices, channel state information (CSI) data representing channel properties of a mesh link of the WLAN mesh network.
