Abstract
An electronic component includes, a first internal electrode disposed in the element body and connected to the first terminal electrode, a second internal electrode disposed in the element body and connected to the second terminal electrode, a dissimilar material layer disposed in the element body and containing a material different from the element body, in which the first internal electrode and the second internal electrode are opposite to each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction with the dissimilar material layer interposed between the first internal electrode and the second internal electrode, the dissimilar material layer has a linear expansion coefficient greater than a linear expansion coefficient of the element body, the first internal electrode and the second internal electrode include corner portions positioned in the element body, and the dissimilar material layer is not overlapped with the corner portions as viewed from the second direction.
