Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes a calibratable display that operates according to an adjustable brightness value and an adjustable color value, a memory that stores instructions, and a processor that executes the instructions. The processor executes the instructions to receive a display calibration request comprising a requested brightness value and a requested color value of the display from each of a plurality of applications registered in a registry of display-calibration-consuming applications of the memory. The processor further executes the instructions to calculate a calibration of the display that denies at least a subset of the display calibration requests based on the display calibration requests and a predetermined set of calibration rules. In addition, the processor executes the instructions to adjust the brightness value and the color value of the display based on the calibration.
