Abstract
A pressure sensor includes a sensor housing including an opening portion having different dimensions in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, a sensor chip that is provided on the sensor housing in a manner of closing the opening portion and that forms a diaphragm portion, a strain gauge portion provided in the sensor chip, and a cap member bonded to the sensor chip by a cap bonding agent. Among bonding surfaces of the cap bonding agent, bonding surfaces at both longitudinal direction end portions of the diaphragm portion each have a bonding area larger than that of bonding surfaces at both transverse direction end portions of the diaphragm portion. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent breakage or the like of the diaphragm portion in the pressure sensor and to maintain pressure detection sensitivity.
