Abstract

A transition metal compound and an olefin polymerization catalyst containing the transition metal compound are disclosed. A method for preparing the transitional metal and a method for preparing the catalyst are disclosed. The transition metal compound has a carbon-bridged cyclopentadienyl-fluorenyl skeleton bearing a substituted bisphenyl group. The olefin polymerization catalyst contains the transition metal compound and a cocatalyst compound.
